July 2011 “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial” (1982) Thursday, July 14, 2011, 7:30 p.m. Join WAHI movie class members for the first of our BIG SCREEN MOVIES — films deserving of a BIG screen. Well behaved children (7+) are welcome to join their adult members for the screening (no unaccompanied children will be admitted). This wonderful film still enchants children and adults alike; whether it’s your first or 51st time, it’s a wonderful way to spend a magical midsummer evening.
August 2011 “Food, Inc.” (2008) Thursday August 11, 2011 To film what Sinclair’s ‘The Jungle’ was to literature, Food, Inc., sheds a glaring light on the business of feeding America. We’ve invited neighborhood food activists to join us for the discussion immediately following. Rated PG, this is a film for you and your older children — mine never looked at a burger the same way again!
